Waterbury Shopping

The Greater Waterbury shopping destinations have changed a great deal over the last few decades. Like most urban centers, the downtown Waterbury shopping areas have been largely abandoned in favor of larger indoor shopping malls. Bank Street, Exchange Place, and nearby streets once catered to a crowd of downtown shoppers.

For more than a century, Howland Hughes was THE place to shop on Bank Street. Today, the building houses the Connecticut Store - a shop containing items produced in the Nutmeg state.
